the night is mammoth
I am a man about it
trying to last it out
stare at the twinkling sky
as though each star
is sending down to us
their own version of Morse Code
although I cannot decipher
their messages
I somehow understand
and feel that the earth I stand on
is being watched
by another somewhere
like me
the message being sent me
cannot be solved
or understood

Sometimes I feel the same.
They twinkle, but I don't understand their language.

That is the comfort of the stars and the moon...that someone else somewhere else is watching them too. You are not watching alone.  In fact, you could be watching them with someone you love who is far away.

That is an interesting concept that you commented, and yes, it is possible, I guess, that someone far away that I love is watching at the same time. Appreciate your input as always, Lori.
