just beyond the twilight
infinite star-field tapestry
moon in midnight blue

lightning mocks the night
thunder quakes the rocks
how small our voices
in the wind

deep in the night
lonely the path
moon over a
thousand waters

birth and death
yin and yang
no matter

forty years
my principles unchanged
still seeking truth

in the wake of the storm
hijacking a rainbow

in escaping the world
I found the world
nonsense and emptiness

indifferent universe
hard-edge world of men
fog is my refuge

cosmic immensity
sharp crescent moon
slicing off a corner
of star-field splendor

deep-twilight forest
silver shadows dancing
I play a flute to the moon

attenuated mandolin
ancient Celtic tune
somewhere in and
out of Time

my heart in melody
my soul harmony
music of your Love

through the light in your eyes
in the depth of your spirit
I have found the truth of Love

Thanks John!

(always a challenge to try and approach the 'Zen limit') ...

Beautiful, Bruce.  I didn't want to emerge from your poem.
