Claddagh

I’ve sailed toward this star in life before
But winds have left me lost along the way
I’d wondered if my heart would come ashore
Although my port of love seemed far astray

You floated into the ocean of my heart
Where naught was love but just an open sea
And Now you steer me clear away from dark
A destiny of love that sings to me

This boat we love is more then just a place
A sign it needs to sail us on our way
And you my love will wear its name with grace
If in your heart you want this ring today

This Claddagh I give, from the heart of me
And with this band of Love I vow to thee.

Parker, I think I would send this as a card to my daughter. If I have your permission, I would love to do so. She and her husband would relate well to your beautiful words.

Parker, you married Claddagh 46 years later to the very day that I married my late ex-husband.

This is a beautiful vow straight from the heart.

Not Married, engaged. This poem went along with the Claddagh Ring I gave Her on that Day.

Oh, OK, engaged.  I followed your link, but have less than seconds to spare now, and when I saw that there was a lot to read, I decided to go to it later when I have minutes to spare, and not seconds, lol!

Thank you, Parker. My youngest daughter's anniversary is coming up. She will enjoy this poem, as will her husband.
