It is the hour of setting sun,
When once again, the day is done,
I flee the din of urban sprawl,
And seek the soothe of twilight's fall.

Along the path to Wilson's creek,
Knowing not of what I seek,
It matters not, what I will find,
For in sun's set, comes peace of mind.

A meadowlark sings forth the field,
And in its song, all wounds are healed,
For in the calm of day's surcease,
Springs forth the balm of night's release.

It is the hour of vespertine,
As Venus ope's her eyes to shine,
Upon the earth in regal render
As muses sing of heav'nly splendor.

I stand alone, on Kansas plain,
Listening to dusk's refrain,
It is as if, I've taken flight,
And left this world with come of night.

Nicely done. Such majestic settings.

Ah man, this was just what I need to read tonight.  Peaceful and serene, almost to a magical scale, yet completely down to earth.  Very enjoyable read... quite soothing.
