Harvest time is back Farmers in their fields soon as the dew dries until it sets in again They pray the storm's rain and hail and lightning fires will pass them by until their crop is in Dangerous heat index fills the evening skies with ominous clouds Sun setting in an eerie illuminating glow Golden wheat radiant in cantaloupe color Summer scene surreal LGR(C)6/29/13 |

What a grand panorama of detailed life of the Kansas wheat fields with its cantaloupe color. With the beauty you expertly gave us the frightening images of destruction which every farmer has to face each year. Love this poem! ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |
