  Solitude and Anonymity

Along the traceless way of
this deep-wooded stream
where even the rocks and
  trees
sing anthems of praise to
solitude, freedom and the
  wilderness,
dappled sunbeams
shadow-dance with our
finest day-dream fantasies
of other lives and love
beneath a boundless azure
sea of mystic cloud-ships
forever slipping past the
simmering summer sun.
Here a million hidden
infinitesimal nocturnal things
  and broken hearts
may await the twilight’s song
and beautiful anonymity
  of the night
to face the world again.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Bruce.  I lingered long in these deep woods.

Time and time again I marvel at your way with words.

Wow, Bruce!  You've always written well about nature but lately it seems to me that there's more "heart" in your words - more feeling, more humanity or just more of something that I may not be finding the right words for.  Enjoyed as usual!
