MY SOLITUDE, I ADORE YOU
AN ODE
21 July 1983

Here in the living depth of this tranquil night,
warm in the haven of your gentle arms,
I answer the call in your deep, true eyes.

Oh, my Solitude, accept this hymn of adoration,
for you are my strength, my friend, my confidant;
with you my thoughts run wild and free;
you share my bursting joys
and my aching sorrows.
You have taught me how
to smile,
to weep.
you forgive my angers
and my follies.
You let me love you without restraint.
I hurt you with my hate, and yet
you take me back without reproach.

You know me better than any
and I am part of you,
the perfect union.
You are the very essence of my life …
and …
how can I but love you,
knowing that
at Death’s release,
you will
share
my peace?

You are lucky as am I ~ I never minded living within myself.I could share with true friends but, never had a deep need to, for they knew me as well as I knew myself.But often, since I was a child I entertained myself.Books and roller skates were my joy. The paper dolls I dressed with paper cut from wallpaper I got from a painter's outdated books of samples.The letters written since I was able to scribble to friends,family and penpals from around the world.The many scrap books I made up from many different themes,music articles,  animals,movie stars and words or thoughts I liked and read from many different sources.I have some of these and wish I had kept the scrapbooks too. SO my friend we are much alike and sisters to many many others who like solitude at times.

Thank you, Karen.  Glad you liked it.

Floating, soaking, embracing the sky, laughing out loud and thinking funny stuff - that is the life!  Beeg smiles.
