Fair to middlin' of nowhere

one uncomprehending what another one finds unthinkable
one unaware of what another one would spill blood over
one obsessed by what goes by one unnoticed

perspectives of extremes
the outliers
at either ends
with all points
in between

rooted in our soils of origin
fertilized by pollens
of random and chaos
seeds are sewn
dust to dust

we beg to differ
draw lines
of pain and agony
between us

because
we are different

Because
we are different?

Why, aren't we all?

To the extent that one would "spill blood over one obsessed by what goes by one unnoticed," is a warning I guess and taken as such. Sometimes we really look for that silver lining.

Jerry, Uh, I don't quite understand the "warning" of which you refer. Thanks for the read and commenting.

I'm sorry, Lori. I pretty much understood everything about the poem, but I guess I got carried away trying to analyze that line.

We are not as different as it seems, but we do hold value to what others refer to as valueless.

Imagine a pet dying and the owner crying and everyone whispering it was just a pet, at the end of the day the owner invested feeling and came up with a loss, whilst those looking in just seem a pet that died and a replacement easy to find.

We all have the ability to do the unthinkable, we all have the ability to turn a blind eye, we all ruin off the same emotions and feelings, its just what we invest them into what changes who we are.

Enjoyed the read.

Great write, dear Lori. Through our differences we are enriched. We use each other as mirrors where we can contemplate our own personality and receive inspiration for change and evolution.

We are more connected than we might suspect.

Thought provoking and well said.

RedStone, my point exactly! Not as different as we may seem.... You can't pick the skin you're born in. (okay well maybe, but tht is a whole different converstion)

So true... Most people want and need the same exact things even if we put them in different forms

Morning Star, Thank you for stopping by with a comment.

I'm delighted we seem to agree on being so much the same with which seems in reality just a pinch of differences.
