Ok! Ok! I have to get this off my chest
To put the truth to rest
The phone calls have to stop
I fear my heads is going to pop!

Some how I knew, I told my son
Then CBS called, said Gloria had won!
Gloria MacKenzie won the Florida Powerball
The biggest jackpot of them all!

The news was all over the TV
And reporters wanted info from me
But I said I knew nothing
And I wouldn't say anything

I was thrilled for the family
And for 21 years I was a MacKenzie
Until my divorce 6 years ago
But I can't go back ya-know

The MacKenzie Powerball fortune
You might think is my misfortune
But I can't look at it that way
I'm blessed, I say

For me, I have no money to flaunt
But my children and grandchildren will never want
That's all a mother could ask for you see
And in the end they'll take care of me

*** Gloria MacKenzie was my mother in-law

Wow, dear Kat, this fortunate event made your pen skip in pleasure. Your attitude is the right one. It's no good to envy somebody for their good luck. If you are happy for them the happiness will affect you too.

Very vivid and well done.

Thanks Marg! My kids have been struggling ( who isn't now a day!) and I've been helping them as much as I could, but now I will not have to worry about them so much.
