Written about the one I love . . .

you are my love
my lover
beyond the definition of love
beyond the fuzzy, happy feelings
it generates
you are my heartbeat
times a hundred beats per love's seconds
you are mine to have and to hold
and to love
you are the divine fire
and my every heartbeat carries your name
I love you
beyond logic and insanity
beyond reality and imagination
even beyond the weight of these written words
beyond the limit of all limits

ah to know there are men who love a woman this poetically and beautifully....
lol, you can tell my age by my comment...if I were younger I probably would have replaced 'woman' with 'person'...sigh

Many thanks, beaniebaby. I hear you on the age thing, and I agree. Mine is a love I have wished for all my life even when I didn't know I was wishing for it. I really appreciate you being here.

a true example of how a poem of love for someone is a greater gift than what comes in a box.
but I do love diamonds nevertheless
