Around The Sun Make a spark out of the ashes of a heart devote all your ocean views to see my eyes wide blue gathering the weather about me apart or together I'm bound to be the chord you're stringing around the sun Take the time mine the diamond silver shine gloss over any imperfection beyond any detection shivering against a higher tide that's when you've got nothing to hide the sound is hollow inside this isolated one Dwindling down across the charred sky scene your leave-taking of this town has left me covered in a dream Falling on down like a boulder to the side of the road the only one around the sun whose heart sounds like music when it explodes Say the word and let slip the lost and absurd collect like corks on the beach within an arm's reach wandering along the salty end that's when you find the elbow bend the path back into when you were the one Dwindling down across the light of the day your heartbreaking of this town has left me here cradling decay Rising back up like a flaming bird back on the wing the only one around the sun whose heart's shaped like a tree when it falls down Arise from the stumbling of my stupid lies and fly fly me across the spectrum of myself within me, without me and leave me back on the shelf to await the quick of the gun like a grey bullet Mercury around the sun around... around.. Oh dear dear poet....you make my heart hurt, this is pure poetry. Dang, i can hardly catch my breath after reading this. You are truly a fine writer and each and every verse stirs so much emotion. Seems I get lost in your poetry and yet I am so there.... I know and feel your words, like a warm rain washing over me..... Your poetry is so easy on my eyes. Thank you for being here, soul drifter. |
