Lumpy oatmeal makes me crazy!

0 posted 2013-05-23 02:10 AM

Painting a canvas of unbroken sky
Adorned brightly with uninterrupted blue
Not marred by leaves or clouds
And undisturbed by the breath of a sigh

Talons reach like arrows
Spearing wishes aloft

Flung beyond what my eyes can see
Spiny fingers release plaintive dreams to the wind
Tossed by branches bared to the bone
Hope thrives in the life of a tree

I liked that you dipped your toe in the water
Got your feel on, your vision, your muse
And also you wrote of the beautiful trees
Much more lovely than what a novice otter

‘Cuz you’re much more than that
You’re seasoned like Cajun chicken

“Slap ya Ma Ma” and “Hickory Spice”
All spanked crazy on a nice little package
Most appropriately called, “Tree of Life”
Needless to say, I thought your poem was really nice

OK, OK…  It was your muse that inspired mine this time!

Loved your poem and I love it even more that your back!  YaY!

Alison, I have lost count of the number of times I have read this, over a number of days.  I have given up not replying because I don't have the words - because I ain't gonna find them.  This is too beautiful for my humble collection of words.  Each time I see and read this, I am lying on my back on the ground beneath these living, breathing masterpieces of God, following every inch of them up to their tops and beyond into Alaskan blue, and the photo fades into reality and your words become my thoughts as I lie and muse skywards . . . and I simply don't want to get up, so I read it again . . . and again . . . and again.

Alison, I popped in here to enjoy this experience yet again and found your absolutely delightful reply and just simply had to thank you for it.

I am so happy that you are encouraged and buoyed up by my words - especially when I thought I hadn't managed to let you know how much I enjoyed this magnificent jewel of a poem, lol!

You are such a wonderful friend yourself.  Thank you for your friendship too.  Please give all your furry babies a big hug from Auntie Di!

Hugs
