    Home Again

Hours drip slowly
on this blustery
day of glowering
clouds and chill,
that linger in
mind, spirit, and
ones very bones,
as dark-wolf
memories come
  a callin.' ...
Longing for the
balm of
clear skies,
cotton clouds,
and the deep-forest
wilderness calm
companionship
  and serenity
of days forever
lost to time ...
though we truly
can never go
  'home' again.

I know these feelings all too well, Bruce, wish I could express them as well as you do.

Yep. I agree, my friend. I haven't been "home" in almost twenty years. You wrote this poem quite well, indeed.

Seems a gloomy day in the forest and even more so given home's so far away. Enjoyed the meditations you shared here.
