Please, Doze Away (Rondelets)

Please, doze away
Within your ocean’s calming state,
Please, doze away
Within the moon pull and the sway,
The ebb and flow of water’s fate
As does it in turn co-create…
Please, doze away.

Please, doze away
As waves go crashing into mist,
Please, doze away
As night turns nights and day turns days
And through them all you’re loved and kissed
With words so soft and reminisced…
Please, doze away.

Please, doze away
And feel the brush of winds blown past,
Please, doze away
And smell the scent of womb’s bouquet
Till all your strength and thoughts amassed
Squeezed through canal of birth have passed…
Please, doze away.

Please, dose away
And don’t you fret this world quite yet,
Please, dose away
My seed, my sweet, my precious babe
For only love and no regrets
Embraces nature’s bassinette…
Please, doze away.

*For my daughter who’s 4 months pregnant.

Sounds like a lovely lullabye from a mother to a child, or a dad to his daughter, either or, as long as the love of family
is what matters

I must admit I have shied away from trying a Rondelet, and I give you high marks for this one, it is perfect. Congratulations on this poem for your daughter, it made the complicated look easy.

Why, thank you, Margherita...

It always makes me happy when my poems are considered a kind of treasure or "Great Find." Thanks again!
