Lotus Heartsong
By: Noah Hibiscus Eaton
5/14/13

You brush the air with softened hands,
like the orange headed thrush,
gesticulating across meadows,
of amaranthine light,
bounteous cacao eyes,
fanning the flames of ananda,
with the primal posture,
of an African tulip tree,
quavering in the beryl broth of spring.

You gifted me with a higher octave,
that I shall honor by belting until it aches,
exercising the will to dance,
the balustrades of space unrestrained,
and in your gift of magnanimous laughter,
I’ve found a place that I belong,
actively listening to the music box,
of my heart,
descant your lotus heartsong…

You breathe sensual wisdom,
reciting it from the summits of your lungs,
as you gambade under madya-basted skies,
vellicating ecstasy of the ages,
as the bells of epiphany clang,
with your dark hair disheveled,
valorously,
in the amity of divine truth,
giving way to delicious deliverance.

You gifted me with a higher octave,
that I shall honor by belting until it aches,
exercising the will to dance,
the balustrades of space unrestrained,
and in your gift of magnanimous laughter,
I’ve found a place that I belong,
actively listening to the music box,
of my heart,
descant your lotus heartsong…
.
.
.
Your actions ran after me as causes,
traversing as effects across my mind’s eye,
like the Transit of Venus,
throbbing an inviolable tarantella,
across the ballroom of time,
I’ve learned to see the daylight dance,
as you whisper into my ear,
instigating me to be melting snow,
and as our bond has grown ever dearer,
I can see ever so clearer…
.
.
.
You gifted me with a higher octave,
that I shall honor by belting until it aches,
exercising the will to dance,
the balustrades of space unrestrained,
and in your gift of magnanimous laughter,
I’ve found a place that I belong,
actively listening to the music box,
of my heart,
descant your lotus heartsong…

There you go sending me to my dictionary again Noah!  My goodness, the descriptiveness within this piece is lovely. Beautifully written Noah. Much enjoyed.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Hmmmm, though I believe I know the joy from which this is coming, belting out a higher octave for me might not be such a grand idea since I do sing at the top of my lungs already when given opportunity, big smiles, but, other than that, I can’t help but smile so big when I read your poetry with its vivacious and flamboyant energy.  So colorful! So full of life!  Anyways, for you it may be the hand of your Love that fans the flame of meditation, (paraphrasing, I know, sorry) but, for me, it’s the words of your poetry.  Thank you for allowing me to experience such joy, such love, such exuberance.  Thank you.
