In White
~A Tribute to White Feather (Marge), White Dove (Rebecca), and David White~

It’s fitting that a quill of white should pen what words of love
are betrothed within the heavenlies as peaceful wings of doves
go navigate through providence wherein sits some divine
on an ocean formed from cares and prayers and magistrates aligned.

It seems that I’d forgotten those dear ones who’d gone before
painting brilliance on the landscape of our values and our cores
as did David kill the giants and Rebecca showered praise
so the flowers of the Cherokee did foster joy for days.

And I thought of them, those gone before, I thought of them with crowns
in such heights that we may never know, with graces falling down
in the motion of a feather, writing love notes in the sky
and I thought of them, I thought of us, in white, it made me cry.

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

I can understand the emotional cry, Bob. You lit up the sky with this write, and you put yourself into it full-fledged. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing these people, but I know a little of them now by rereading this fine poetry dedicated to three friends.

My goodness, what a beautiful tribute.  I feel so honored to lay eyes on your fine poetry.  You made me cry too, just because life is short and I always wonder if those who have gone before us know what a difference they made in this life.  Thank you for this, Bob, it is very special.

I'm an emotional mess these days - but this would have moved me to tears at any time. What a beautiful, loving tribute to three people who truly made the world a better place and blessed the lives of those lucky enough to know them.

Well now this brought tears to my eyes! Beautiful! A cloud of witnesses to testify. Their blood has drawn my tears! That and your bleeding pen!

Let me first acknowledge that I have read all of your kind comments and I appreciate each one, I do, but I do feel, rather than keeping them all for myself, that I should, if possible, somehow add my comments and gratitude along with yours and send them up to a higher place for perhaps these three to read, be blessed, participate, if this makes any sense at all (if not, I'm sorry), for these three most honorable poets of 'White' were such a Huge, Tremendous, Humungous, words cannot describe inspiration to my being here and writing poetry and that would include my writing this poem as well, so, um, yeah, thank you Everyone, but, more than that... Thank You Marge, Thank You Rebecca, and Thank You Dave!  Thank you!  Thank You!

You tug at the heartstrings with this poignantly beautiful tribute to our three beloved Poet friends, dear Bob.

Much enjoyed ... I think dear Marge, Rebecca and David gathered up there and were happy for being remembered with so much love.

Bob,

Your Tribute in White to poets who walked these PiP halls before me really touched me.  You write beautiful poems and this is no exception.  Simply beautiful and very heartfelt.

Oh, Mysteria...

No, you didn't miss it, not at all, but, as usual, your timing is right on!  Big smiles.
