Early...
Quiet.
Morning is a bird
perched on a branch
growing out of the dawn,
getting ready to take flight
with a flutter of wings
and a burst of song.
To abandon
the soft serenity of night
and soar into the light
with fearless anticipation.

How sweet the song of the morning bird at my window, making the transition from my
deep sleep easier to break the spell of.
Sweet reminders through your pretty poem

Nice and earthy is this view of nature and one of its inhabitants. I enjoyed the moment, Ida.

Whisper-exquisite, Ida!  Of all your beautiful poetry, this, in my humble opinion, is the most beautiful, the most touching and the most heart-quivering.  "Morning is a bird" - what a perfect metaphor - I will remember and be inspired by that forever, and its source.  Thank you for the wonderful experience - and I am so happy for the experience you must have had, when you were inspired to write this sparkling, dew-drop gem!

Oh Ida, this is lovely. I love this time of year and love watching the birds dance through spring. Much enjoyed this.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Thank you, fellow poets for reading and commenting. This is a new one. I haven't been writing much lately. Trying to get back into the habit.

I love morning and now see it with a new light.  Morning is peaceful ... until it is filled with bird song and then it is a concert I love to hear.

So wonderful, Ida.
