I was missing my grandiegirl so much
and I was crying when her mom called.
She put me on the speakerphone to say hello
and I talked, though I stalled.

She said Hi Grandma,
I miss you Grandma.
I love you Grandma.
and I lost it.

Bawling, I said I love you too.
I miss you too.
But by my voice cracking,
I guess she knew.

And she said
Don't cry Grandma.

Little ball of strength,
little piece of my heart,
little tower of power,
while grandma falls apart.

Honey, 2 of mine live less than five miles away, and there are times I get wet-eyed with/over them.  I also have two in California - with one in the oven . . . so I know where you're coming from.  Just bubble yourself all over the place, the reason is truly worth it.

And go figure, all that water's about . . .  L O V E !!!

Well Worth IT!!

She's a sweetie pie, no wonder you blubber over missing her.  Hold her close when you see her as I know you will

Gosh... (gone to get a box of tissues) I'm crying just reading this.  I do love those calls. Thanks for sharing.
