'O, there is a sunrise after all,
This dreaded night I've worn like a shawl;
A lasting darkness settled o'er this place,
Makes me think of arsenic and lace.

The mighty have fallen by the way,
Both elephant and donkey doth bray.
The night invites murderous turmoil,
There's evil about upon our soil.

'O, the sunrise will be shining soon,
I'm sick and tired of watching the moon.
Drat! That's not a sunrise shining bright,
It's permanent, everlasting night.

Where are our heroes, our men so brave?
Are they in camps, nothing more than slaves?
Is there no way, this horror to halt?
I ask you one time, Who is John Galt?

John Galt?

I don't know, but your poem sounds like hell on earth or some sort of prison and, similar, I'm sure, to the novel and movie which I haven't had opportunity to read or see yet, I do hope that decisions in government don't lead to a similar state.  Enjoyed!

We are in the faltering steps of the beginning of that "hell on earth" i am convinced, Bob. Thank you for being at least brave enough to comment.
