Her scarf was a shade of the potomac river
blue in the center
heels to the whispers edge

The garden pressed against her legs
like a small child's lips curved
against a woman's right breast

Passed the autumn bridge
shy until the lantern
flickered in and out of its yellow pattern

Onto the brown patio deck
rocking chair, steady
with her eyes on his
like the mist through the field of dreams
that took his hand across her breast
with his eyes towards the blessed wind.

Oh, I like how you personify nature and, um, sorry, but this poem seems to be going way beyond any 'potomac' (platonic) relationship! Enjoyed!
