Where the river flows
when the water falls
my love she's a firefly glow
got me bounding off walls

Under the city bridges
a salve sweet as honey
she pulls up my stitches
and spends all my money

And tonight
she's sweeping rain
the dark sky she ordains
with a bat of her butterfly eye
and she said she'll be by my side
always

What a kid glove girl
got me believing again
poking holes in my world
so I can breathe again

And today
she's sweeping tears
my darkest sky she clears
with a grin of red ember light
and she said she'll stay by my side
always

Oh how lucky
can one guy be?
she took a hold of me
and shook out misery
and oh how wonderful
the way she lit up my life
singing from my soul
I know I'll stay by her side
always

I agree, your poem reads like a fun and playful love-song and, also, my favorite, and probably yours, I imagine, are when she bats her butterfly and/or firefly eye. Enjoyed!
