YESTERDAY’S EMAIL
13 March 2013

Those words you sent me yesterday
awakened flutters in my heart
and ever since you’re in my head -
you struck with Cupid’s dart.

You entice me with that special fruit
that Adam received from Eve
when all I want to do
is hold my head and grieve

the us that was annulled
with news of truth and lies
and I am trying hard to be
what’s good and true and wise

yet when you look at me that way
I can’t think logically
and only see bright Heaven’s stars
spread wide in a celestial sea.

Your poem and imagery are lovely ... the anguish, not so much.  Enjoyed!

Thank you, Bob.  Thanks for enjoying the poem and the imagery, and not (giggles) the anguish.  Your kindness is much appreciated.

Thanks, Yann.  Yes, you understood it perfectly.  Thank you for your kind and compassionate reply.
