In the somber moment
your sudden flight of color

then quick departure

unaware,
you brought comfort

to the sorrow behind
the window view.

By the way, I should have worded my comment a little better. I knew it wasn't a "real" passing, Emma. I meant it kinda tongue-in-cheek, but after rereading it it doesn't exactly comer off like that.

It really is whatever you believe it to be
I like to leave it up to the reader's interpretation

Like your 'bluebird passing', I do think, perhaps, the things we do unaware hold the greatest reward when we get beyond this window. Enjoyed!

Emma, this is a masterpiece that, for me, stands out amongst all your other masterpieces - it is gossamer-thread exquisite!  Thank you for painting your sorrow into such beauty and enriching me and all who read it.  I know that it will have enriched you as well.  It has put my life one notch higher, though I won't remember that every moment of every day for the rest of my life, but I will benefit from it.  I am sure it will do the same for other readers too.  Thank you.
