Life gave me a glass
all filled up

Full of joys and sorrows
Laughter and tears
Waiting and running
and even a few long
slow
walks

A glass filled with love and light
With sadness and pain
With symphonies and
rock
and
roll

Life gave me a glass
and filled it
all the way up

So I reached for it
And I never worry
About being half empty
Or half full

Because
I'm going to drink
every
last
drop

Yesssssss! Drink until you savor or reject the contents, because there will be the tasty and the unpleasant inside that glass, my friend, but you have to taste the bitter to understand where the good lies. Loved this poem. Yep.

Morning Star - That's the attitude to take. Best to enjoy life while you're in it because no one gets out alive anyway. Whoa! Now there's a head twister to pour into a glass. I love the positive message crafted here in your words. Kinda puts a bright 'star' in my 'morning'. Namyh

A highly philosophical poem
Containing wonderful meaning
I truly developed holy wisdom
By going through this nine one.
