Each promise was a seed to reap;
roots furrowed deeply in the soul,
flourishing abundantly in the heart,
with each rosette of love we stole.

The vibrant palette of our hearts doth stir,
A paradisiacal bouquet;
lightly brushstroking a quiet demur,
with radiant colors of cabernet.

Whilst love lit the candle of our embrace,
and vanishing into a memory,
drifting like water lilies with no trace;
ripples of love became a reverie.

Whilst love lit the candle of our embrace,
Still, I see the silhouette of your face.

I was adored once too.
William Shakespeare

Whence love lit the candle of our embrace,
and time became a memory,
flowing into a river with no trace;
ripples became a reverie.

I felt the bittersweet longing of what once was.

Beautiful writing!!!

Difficult to shake off those silhouettes, Victoria, and sometimes we never do. I have my own, Nanette, of course.

Though time passes, glimmers do seem to always remain (Sentimental sigh).  Enjoyed.
