Sunny Day

Could da been dat storm
just a passin' by,

Could da been dat paint
I forgot to buy,

Could da been dat dog
tryin' to get out,

Could da been dat wind.
Dis I have no doubt,

Could da been dat thief
tryin' to get in,

Could da been dat time
just a growin' thin,

Could da been dat man.
Could da been dat ghost,

Could da been dat rot
eatin' at da post,

Could da been dat mite.
Hungry little pest,

Could da been dat neighbor.
It was dem. I guess,

Could da been dat foe.
Could da been dat friend,

Could da been most anythin',
but da fence won't mend.

Hah! It matters not who the culprit was if the damn fence won't mend.

What a fun romp with words Bob! Mendin' fences ain't somthin' ya gotta rush on lest yer worrin' 'bout cows gettin' out.

A pity that fences can't mend themselves... Especially on sunny days!!!  Charming

Thanks Morning Star (Aenea)...

I couldn't agree more, especially on a sunny day, but here's to my hoping for the past few years.
