The morning ablaze with red cardinals and sun breathes life into the day. The old burrowing owl should be sleeping as red-headed woodpeckers play. The gray squirrels are chasing each other, brown-eyed fawns suddenly appear; Anticipating golden daffodils yellow blooms they eat every year. Melting snow is dripping from the rooftops, embers of winter in the air; Spring fever is just around the corner as winter awaits for a spring affair. ~Victoria I was adored once too. |

It can't make up it mind here....Snow one day and in the 60's the next. The trees and things are really confused. Your poem was light and colorful as a new spring dress! Loved it! lori |
