I Ask A Woman

I ask a woman
a very special woman
to write me
some poetry.
She told me
that she didn't
know how
and then
she reminded me
of all the times
she had called me
and texted me
and said sweetly
face to face
while looking
into my eyes
the words
"I love you,
and doesn't
that count?"
