It is
the call of the sea,
the endless call that
beckon,
those mysterious whispers
seducing the stars
to bathe
within the frothy crest
of the waves.

It is
the dawn as the sun rises
sipping the dew
from the brim of morn,
blooming
like cherry blossoms
in the springtime.

It is
the zephyrean lullaby
of the sunset drifting
like burnt orange seaweed
upon the ocean
disappearing
beyond the horizon,
as orange meringue smolders
into the embers of the past;
into the purple twilight hour.

It is
the first glimpse of the moon
that entices the night to dance
with the shadows into the unknown;
as petals
of the white lotus flower
bathe in ripples of moonlight.

It is
...Phenomenal...

It is . . . YOU!

This poem is a pure delight, Victoria. I was hung up into making metaphors with each stanza, and there were some interesting ones for sure. This is a damn fine piece of work.
