.

Snow has fallen
Melted and fallen
Again on the city park

The pine tree branches
A little older now
Are heavy with snow
What people there are
Scurry under a sky
That is dark and grey

Typhoid every summer
Takes any number away
Last year it was cholera
And what will come with spring
Or tomorrow no one knows

Where the water
Can kill you
Why then would it matter
If one is beautiful

And yet you are
And it does

.

Why is it that the saddest thoughts become the most beautiful poetry?

This is captivating, even in its sadness.
