Soft eyes

Soft eyes look out
from behind electric screens
dreams mix with memories
and feel smell taste returns
shivers pass

soft skin still under fingers
yet long gone away
brings with it a lack of regret
a wishful recreation
of situations gone

soft touches hand on cheek
still warm without contact
longing cuts through time
kisses on lips not brushed
for so long

soft kisses linger
truer than physical
make me want forget the now
return to then
to your soft eyes

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
