Hawaiian Suppa Man

Hawaiian Suppa Man

One night Pippi
and I were starring
at the stars in the sky
when we noticed a space ship
approaching us rapidly,
at first we didn't know
the nature of this object,
it could have been a falling star
it could have been an oscar mayer cigar
it could have been a large group of heavenly angels
coming down to check us out
but there is no need to speculate when
I'm willing to share my story now,
and yet I hesitate
for some would fail to
believe or understand
a visit from a little green man,
he didn't even mess up any of the coconut trees
as he landed in the water right before Pippi and me
he shut off his flight lights and he was standing
in front of us before the sharks had time to bite,
he spoke a foreign language which wasn't
English but we could still understand,
he said he was aware that Waikiki was a popular
tourist attraction with Americans, Koreans,
China and Japan and he was wondering
if we could find a place for a little green man.
Pippi got right up and performed her version
of a hula dance the way only she can
and I played my ukulele and sang Hawaiian Suppa Man.
