ghostly jumbled mass
dark, stolid tombstones
impressive 'neath pale white moon
tall trees
silvery Spanish moss
winterized, bare of leaves
moonlight comforted ancient cemetery
a resting(?) place
for hundreds of ended lives
within moon shadows
two lovers
hidden from inquisitive eyes
adding sexual funnery
as he bequeaths the seed
and she obligingly conceives
a new life
in the land of the dead

Well this is different but you paint such a vivid picture of those bayou type cemeteries that I have seen on TV. Im sure they hold secrets of night visitors. NIcely done Jerry.

Thanks, my friend. Yep, it is different, I just don't much like to get in a rut, that's why you see so many "different" poem from my pen.

Nice!
Provokes thoughts of life and death.
Often I drive by land that used to be a drive-in theater, and wonder how much new life was conceived there.
Loved the poem. Keep writing.

Haha! Yeah, the old drive-ins, I have spread seed there as well. They were "the" thing during my teenage years and beyond. Thank you Duck for reading and commenting on my poem.
