You think it can never happen, you think that it just happens to others but everything has to occur in one mans lifetime, even if its pain and sorrow or greatness and happiness, we must go through the motions and learn that experiences are there to teach us not a mistake, not a bad regret, but a simple lesson that life has its struggles but if we never carried anything we would not be able to stand tall each day with new built on ideas and notions, so I might have come to the end of my relationship but i've come to the beginning of another character.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Were it truth in my utterance.
Dear, Dearest, Death--
The Well, foaming from which
the heart did spring its leak--
too heavy for a soul to bail, too
heaving for my arms to throw
and now, but a constant reminder
of what once I could lift, and now
just a overflowing stream of pure emotion.

How is it such that one can overcome another
with such ease and gentle word-- that even
when the tongue turns sour the mind is still
attuned to follow-- which not be I possessed?
And from my fool heartedness find methinks
the simplest of things gone, given, kept, and
taken.

My soul now tread.

We cannot be whole if we just experience the yin without the yang,  both are part of who we are. Take care,  and well written

Olias is right and I loved the response that Margherita gave you in your last poem and Its best to know the truth than to live a lie. Keep writing because you do it so well RS.

No matter how you slice it. No matter the words of comfort and advice. This is a sad part of our life we must fight alone, with time as our only real ally.
