It was a fall evening
but there was a soft reminder
of a conversation that trailed
the fields of leaves that night

Its a small place
private with its own patio
another balcony that fell
on the westside region of her hands

Her neck slightly
undressed the evening star
sat next to the sky
like the kite ridders
that filled the august air

As she felt the song
of her mothers voice
against the back of her throat
like a quilts quiet note against the backdrop of a winter fall

Just enough strength
down and through the winds tunnel
that sets its eyes on the train tracks
leading towards her own private road.

As she felt the song
of her mothers voice
against the back of her throat

These lines conjure a wonderful image and sensation in my mind.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
