The Red Spider Planetary Nebula

to me it looks like a black widow negative

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Not wanting to fire too many pistons, but you should love this one, too.

It does look like a horses head...makes me think of the Godfather.

Ooh, I didn't go there.

I was thinking Pegasus' flight across the Universe.

Certainly polar in thought, that, eh?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

For the time being I am stunned into silence by the overwhelming beauty of these pictures ...

I have "Nasa" in my favorite sites, but sometimes I forget to check the pictures, thank you for the reminder.

I am not really much into poetry challenges, I am also not patient enough to "build" long special poetic forms, but when the topic brings along strong emotions like in this case, I feel inspired. After all, Universe is our wondrous habitat! How could we ever remain indifferent as poets?

Thank you again!

Love,
Margherita
