Visualize the Nasa picture, object of the challenge: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap130126.html

*    *    *
The pure white breasts of Mother Earth
arch towards the source of night’s charm
to receive the kiss of radiant rainbow tongues.

Ice crystals melt in the heat of the dance
the snowy hills in their glorious exposure
shudder in response to the howl of moondogs.

Refracted moonlight reaches deep down,
the icy halo caresses the dazzling horizon.
How vital this ritual of Nature’s major performers!

Ahh, fill your eyes with the sacredness
of this unique celebration of creation
and sigh, just sigh deeply
                  into the depth of Universe.

These lines say it all, Margherita, completely and wonderfully . . .

Lovely, lovely, and yes, all penned lines lead to those superb final two; the sigh could not happen if you had not taken us there so beautifully.

Wow, English your third! It's my first and I don't think I could do so well.

The writer changes the beauty of the eye to the beauty of imagination.

Nature has its splendor and so does your pen.

Thank you, dear Jerry, for your loving comment. Yes sometimes a deep sigh is the highest form of appreciation.

Dear Virginia, I am happy that you liked it, thank you so much. I do enjoy the English language, but there are great limitations and "hesitations", believe me. It's an ongoing learning process and I love it anyway.

Dear Lee, thank you, I much enjoyed your generous, loving comment.

Love,
Margherita

I  have to agree to the limitations of English. There are some translations in Spanish that seem to convey greater meaning than mere English does. For example: Help me:ayuda me    I can hear the exclamation points in the Spanish version without them being placed on the page.

Don't know if I've written the Spanish right though.

Thank you, dear Kathleen, for telling me you enjoyed this.

Dear Virginia, well you speak of Spanish which is really very rich and melodious. Goethe said it was the language of God It is my favorite language, though I have few opportunities to exercise in it. Regarding English I meant MY personal limitations and hesitations, due to my limited knowledge of it, I think it is a fantastic language and offers writers infinite possibilities.
Thank you for your loving kindness.

Love,
Margherita
