the years don’t swell up
nor wither away
no, they
strive and labor
sometimes you get to a place
where things fuse together
then break apart
but you are as immobile as a rock
an island maybe
and, as lake water mirrors the moon
you sit upon the shoreline
weighing your sudden ill-fortune
as the heat finds your back
from your in-house of fire and thunder
and thoughts of death
and dying
wondering about how your body
will respond
if indeed it is about to die
would the physical turn to clay
or the mind be denied
no!
senility be dammed
you'll flat out dodge that bullet
load your own gun with a grin and know that
no breast is safe
you snicker
for you are well aware
that women are the real seducers
from the very first
woman seduced man in that darn garden
and here you are
fighting death at every turn
ah, but . . .
after the breast
you run your hands along the craftsmanship of her
she's like a silver statue
stolen from an old antique store
it carries a deadly curse
oh, but she shimmers
like a sky full of twinkling stars
beautiful, but strangers
nom de plumes for the dangerous
where she lives
and where you desire to go
where you are destined to finally let go
the stars, one last sigh
and woman enfolds you to her bosom

Absolutely, and a definite yes, on taking a bite of your apple, Victoria.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my silliness . . .

Steamy, covering many facets of moving into that very stress relieving moment of
tranquility.

Enjoyed the read, Jerry!!

It seems to me that you deal with thoughts of death in a very "reviving" way. This is intriguing, Jerry. Very intense too.

Yes, that is how I am trying to cope with my age factor and all the diseases and ailments that goes with it, Margherita. Spoofing it is a good way of making you feel good when you might not really feel all that great. Thanks for dropping by . . .

Not sure I share your view of tranquility, but you know I am an absolute pessimist anyhow. This held some sincere ponderings with a perfect touch of jade.  Enjoyed!

I don't share your continued pessimistic view of the world either, Michael, but there you go . . . Two people, two different philosophies on life and happiness and/or sorrow.

Thanks, Bruce, I have been absent for awhile, it's taking me some time to get with the program again.
