When light rose
through the comets of the eastern sea
it was thought the silent streets
could breathe a bit easier
maybe even through the fog
as the rust that gathered on the rooftop buildings
began to fade as the night grew weary of the late hours
tireless,
always watching over the town
but its eyelids began to slowly close
for the silence offered the night
a chance to sleep with the rest of the town

A silver stream of light
shadowed the streets
with patches of grass spread in different plots
around several islands of rocks

Where an everlasting mist
became a mainstay
calming in its disposition
that the children of the night
wrapped themselves in its blanket
as their bodies curled into a kiss
of the wind that swept through the archway
leading down towards the seas quiet tide

Enjoyed your lovely words Tomer.

Tomer, I wrapped myself in the words and images of this poem as the children wrapped themselves in the blanket of mist and I don't want to unwrap myself.  I am still wafting in it.  You are a wordsmith par excellence.  Thank you for this wonderful enrichment.
