Love each day as if it’s your last.
I’ve been to the other side and I’ve come back.
I’ve lost those I loved
And they’re not coming back
So love every day as if it’s your last.

You wonder about my past sometimes.
Don’t want to ask, afraid of the find.
But I tell you the truth to your questions all.
There’ nothing untoward, nothing at all.
I love you so hard ‘cause I lost you before.

So I love you each day as if it’s our last.
I’ve been to the other side and I came back.
I loved you once,
Don’t want to lose you no more.
So I love you today like there’s no tomorrow.

This is a wonderful poem, iliana. Dark. Moody and revealing. Excellent work.

Iliana/Jo!  Wonderful to see you here again!

I read your powerful song/poem, several times.  It feels very different from others of yours.  At first it seemed all sad - but then, it didn't - but there is a thread running through it that worries me.  It seems as though you have gone through some very tough times since you were here last, and that saddens me.  However, Pip is a place for healing and I pray that it will bring you exactly that, as well as sustained happiness.

Your poetry is often a song.  Layers of this...exploring them all.

Beautiful sentiment in your song.
It doesn't need a title cause it's
a love song from the depth of your
heart!!  Great write, Iliana.

What a lovely surprise, dear Jo, to find you in here again with such a poignantly beautiful love song! "Transcendence" is what comes to mind for this love is beyond space and time.

Love and hugs.
