The trees hang over in shadow
despite the sun's light

the echolalia of Life's
primal scream, absorbed within
the green, as the tiny one drifts
towards the dawn of hereafter

a colossal abyss
with the welcome of home
through the parachute's promise

for surely the heart of an animal
that resonates truth, honor
and reason, can enter
without need for judgement.

Perhaps I have misunderstood, but what I believe is that Scorpio was a dog or a cat or another kind of pet of yours.  I can absolutely assure you that animals go to Heaven.  Those who wish to, can call me as crazy as they like, but crazy I would be if I didn't receive and give daily sky and cloud and thought messages of love from and to my Flicka-horse, my Tigger-cat and my Daisy-dog in Heaven.  I know they will be there at the gate to meet me when I die.  My three babies and all the previous animals I had are all so lovable, and I am sure that particularly, my last 3 whom I had for many, many years, welcome all the new animals to Heaven and show them around, so if I have interpreted your poem correctly, your Scorpio is there with them, happy and contented and with lots of friends.  However, I can understand the unbearable ache in your heart.  One of my very few consolations when each of my last 3 babies died, Flicka at the age of 37½, Tigger at 15½ and Daisy at 14½ and those all human years, was that they didn't have to go through the separation anxiety that I did, and, if I am right in understanding that Scorpio was a pet of yours, neither did Scorpio.  You and I are more able to take it, though it may not seem so to us, and we would certainly prefer the pain to be ours than theirs.

Hugs and tears

I saw astrological signs and personal victories in this write.  Scorpio passing leaves a secret garden, waiting to be found.
It's always the best when different perspective emerge.  Great write!

Thank you for your kind replies and for understanding the depth of a pet's loss.
