Every once in a while
a memory with wings
gently brushes my mind
as it searches
for just one more tear.
And then with a deep sigh...
that lingers
it whispers to me...
"I am still here."

Sad beauty, Ida.
A lot said in this little gem.

Ida, this exquisite teardrop gem cut me with its upper point sharper than a butcher's knife.

Thank you ,always  such gems from You.

I think we all harbor such tears.Sometimes sheding them for seemingly no reason. But they are indeed welcome to help cleanse the soul.  jo

Oh Ida, this is heavenly.  I'm so moved and touched by the fact that a tear can do so much...and yes, our loved ones are ever near.

Thank you all for reading and commenting. We all have those little memories that haunt us and winter is the best time to write about them.

Hello, Ida, I see that you are still writing the good ones, the kind that tug at your heart . . .
