.

Always the tepid lassitude, after laughter-
returning like churned tides. Smiles fade
a micron earlier, eyes fall to the floor.
The frail facade just that- a temporary
measure, hung upon the grace
of patient friends. Everyone's
been hurt. We point to scars,

speak of every roped
and twisted memento
as if the healing depended on the tale...
Here, a child's tears of pain,
There, a woman's dignity demolished...

but words are words. It's when the bright
and bravest take our heart-

like a vibrating wild wren
caught in the palms,
heated, trembling, yet

the fingers cradle, soothe
and never

crush.

You sure know how to write, darling girl!!!  I read a couple messages within your message.  One being, that everyone is fighting a hard battle, and I think it's human nature to lose sight of that sometimes.... so I thank you for that reminder.  It's not just a cliche!!!

Life is truly a gift and trust is both a fragile and strong bond to place unto another.  Thank you for these poignant and gentle thoughts.  They comfort me~
