Once upon a
pasture of thyme

There was a boy who lived
in a rhyme

He spun his yarns
attached to a kite

Until the day
his wishes took flight

His path was fraught
in trails adverse

Only in fantasy
could he traverse

Pages of footprint
biding their sentence

Chapters of tragedy
born of repentance

O season, O season
the leaflets did turn

With smiles of distance
through thicket and fern

A lad and his daydream
married in myth

Living on language
now and herewith

And whether or knot
the passage was stormed

Dramas were drizzled
and farces we’re formed

The turns would
catch him a foot unawares

A lunatic legacy
comedy of heirs

When will the scrawls
of the scrivener give sound

Branches of will low
scraping the ground

Quill of the chickadee
scribe, of the call

Notes of the cliff hanger
edge of the scrawl

No pennies for thought
would help him amaze

Nary a token
to coin a new phrase

Life is the poet
of coward and fighter

Shadow of ghost
wrong full of writer

Shattered reflections
memoir of mirror

Vision of cover
hero of fear

Once upon one lonely
moment of time

There was a note that
continued to climb

A boy and a breeze
that carried goodbye

Held by a string
that he tied to the sky

So many good lines, but I'm going with

"dramas were drizzled"    Yea that's really good, a phrase to be coined!

drizzled myself a few dramas, but that's another poem alltogether~
