Far off midst clear
yawning beryl skies,billowing
clouds bump along behind
leafless trees,spectral dark.
Lonely,quiet, save for
gulls aching cries dying
on the cold wind.
Afternoon drags dark veils
across the evening starsheet.
Sitting,feeling alone,isolated
but warm,winter visits
upon wind blast,inside
rain splash, until my
heart beats with it,
like natures winter heart.

music was my refuge.i could crawl into the spaces between the notes and curl my back to loneliness - Maya Angelou

Your poetry is almost quiet, I truly enjoy the stillness that surrounds your thoughts, almost as if they are airbrushed....
and yet your visuals are loud and clear, and beautifully painted.

Just lovely, Goldenrose~

Phil, so nice to see you here.

I love the peaceful feeling I get from reading you this morning and especiall these  words which would make a beautiful Title:"natures winter heart".

M ( p.s. would you allow me the use of the  words for a title acknowleging they came from you?) It's the first inspiration I have had in a very long time.
