 The saddest Christmas I ever had was waking up, in realization That I was no longer a child, anymore This last one wasn’t, much better Since my past is still, my present Wrapped up sadly in crinkled up parchment Of troth un bestowed Gifts, never to be given Favor never longingly, endowed Cries entangled Never sang, or swayed Only flits of perchance of lull, and bye I’ve been searching for that, special offering to settle Softly Where your breath escapes Framed by silken waterfalls of ribbons, that your tresses drape And through the opacity, light seared the gloam As wonder and wandering fled from their homes Moving on toward the moments ahead Time, never tasted Eyes, never read And maybe our need was, the thrill of the chaste Where seconds are eons and echoes, erased The wave of the sea Son, stumble and fall Cinder of summer my winter, of walls And sitting on cobblestones Covered with mist I press on your smile The lips you have kissed For all I can give you Are waves on the beach Bringing you endless Words that can’t reach The sunset is slipping A bird flutters by The breath of our closeness Lie deep, in your sighs picture by fine art america |

For all I can give you Are waves on the beach Bringing you endless Words that can’t reach The sunset is slipping A bird flutters by The breath of our closeness Lie deep, in your sighs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh my, this sure brought on a deep, breathless sigh. Your writing touches me and reaches deep in my heart. So very lovely, this. I could go on and on...and on! Suffice to say, you and your poetry are very special. x/o |
