She had a soft like neck
that seemed to run
around the base of his long arms
for her heart was settled
between the side of his sweater
and the tears of his face

Blonde, brown streaks
falling under the raptures of the wind
like the stolen rocks that lay underneath their home
as she, like a soft kiss, touched his eyes
rinsed the denim off his jeans
onto the flaccid floor

He used her lips for a slow smile
to keep the snow at bay
as her neck tilted into his chest
like the shallow cotton sweater
she wore over her white tee

He read the lines
from her eyes until a small scrap
of her nails seemed to scratch at the back of his neck
until the mark felt a nights hollow corner

Through the night
under a long silent sigh
he caught her eyes fall for a softened man
with his eyes tucked away like the snow covered plains of the midwest.

lips touching the the bottom
a radiant tide of the moon on their side
and for a moment, it all felt right
for a moment, a little rise of her eyes
came under the touch of his lips
the small windows heart
felt the truth of a dozen seeds
that shaded the bedroom wooden floor
to the soft kernels of her breasts
behind the curtains graceful stare.
