Dark Red Soul In the darkest of nights deep down in the valley it's just a crack in your broken-hearted scene Stay afloat in your eyes gently tugging memory your dark red soul remains uncharted by me I'm torn like scar tissue holding out for you Like a storm, blood rushes on till the blush of dawn Forlorn, like scattered poem pages this fire of love rages on and on and on for you Worth their weight in gold emotions like gravity so steely-eyed, I will be crucified for you Gazes run oh so cold traded in this clarity for a little pride I cannot hide from view I'm torn like scar tissue heart of the issue is I'm born to be the number one fool to be dyed in the wool Words form it seems every single time they stutter blindly into rhyme but I'll sing on and on for you Crescent moon, light up her room slit this skin, let my songs pour in to conquer her whole deep in the abyss of her dark red soul Deep blue heart dark red soul tattered maps and charts just so I can hold your magnet skin bust me back open take what you want leave what you don't but forever you'll haunt these white wonder bones wide wonder, my heart has blundered into a friend zone of desaturated bliss, diving off the edge of lips never kissed, Octobergirl of unholy gypsy red, it could be said that your existence is the compass a gentle way to save my ass loneliness has dominated me but I know I know you're all I need you're all I'll ever ever need In the darkest of nights you and I could fit just right, it's just a crack of sunlight in my broken-hearted life... This is intense, but love is like that sometimes. Like the rolling stones sing it, "you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need" I really enjoy your song writing, soul drifter. Hope the New Year brings you peace and much love.  |
