I met him at a dance, the YWCA.
He acted like I was invisible
as I spoke to his friend. I waited for him to
glance my way. He reminded me
of Kirk Douglas, the same masculine
sculptured chin.
He was dressed in a navy
blue suit and  red tie.
When his friend and I were finished speaking
I Left and joined my girlfriend's.
A song came on and I felt a tap on my shoulder.
It was Mr. Douglas.
I saw my reflection in his pale blue eye's.

He slowed danced with me
and held me tight, very tight. I was intoxicated
by the scent of his Canoe cologne.
He didnt introduce himself,
he just said  "thank you" when it was over
and walked away.

He was a suave and smooth guy.
I was young and naive
still in high school.

He obtained my phone number from his friend.
He called, and in his soft spoken voice, he asked
me to go out on a date.

I heard the doorbell ring
so I walked to the door and  opened it,
and to my surprise, Kirk Douglas
now looked like James Dean,
Rebel Rouser,
a doo rag wrapped around his head
motorcycle boot's, and leather jacket
He still looked sexy as ever.
He was a member of the
Warlock's Motorcycle club.

He wasnt riding his motorcycle
as it was very cold
and I was Glad as my Dolly Parton
hairstyle wasn't cut out for blowing
in the wind.
I noticed  from under the seat of
the car was nunchuck's and brass knuckle's
I could tell he could take care
of himself if need be.

It didnt work out because
he could tell I had the medal
for   "Virgin of the year" so he went
his own way, back to his secret fiance.

You can't tell a book by it's cover.

Oh this was such a good read, you stir a lot of emotions and bring back memories of my youth.  Reminds me of how innocent I was (at one time) and gullible to a fault.

I shudder to think!!

Nice one, V~
