Listening to every heart

Now, the Touch

It let me be,
The touch of
Loss, and loss
Was what I felt,
And in the melt
I lost the me ~
The what I was,
That what, I be…

Voices, heard,
And voices, felt,
My god, I knew,
I was this melt!
I lost that fate,
One whole of me,
I felt hot stream,
Tranquility…

“Oh God,”
Their voices streamed untrue,
“Mom, MOM, please!”
Then, this glue
That once was me
Was now undone
And only God, and
Please, his Son

Were the only
Voices heard,
And yet assured,
Now came
One Word…

Do not hesitate
This your love
And never, please,
Leave this worth
For I once walked
And walked alone
This lovely piece,
This piece of earth…

But Peace was all
Yes, ALL, I heard
This Lovely Peace of Earth!

Then lonely I,
Yes lonely be
For not I,
Of little worth,
Wanted less, then
Wanted, none, and none
Was less than worth…

Then lo, the Man
held out his hand
And LO!  the miracle…
He held me warm,
Then tight and strong
As then the spiracle

He held me high, aloft and true
And lo, no pedestal…
Would ever hold this weight
Of one,
Nor could it hold the love….
For nothing could have held
The loss
Of one who left their soul…

But HE who had a plan
In mind
Was HE who
Gave the goal…

~*~

Now I, yes I, who ~
Shallow be,
Though shallow shall
Not be still;
Then I, yes I,
Who righteous be,
Though righteous
With some will;
Well now I, yes I!
Who sometimes be
A cavalier of youth!
Now comes a mirror
Shining bright, reflecting
GOD, this truth!

Now yes, my heart, be stilled…
Be stilled, that you shall
Have it all, as all that
It shall be…

For it let me be,
The touch of
Loss, and loss
Was what I felt,
And in the melt
I lost the me ~
The what I was,
That what, I be…

And if I be but once a dream
Of yours now gone upon a stream
I would you then remember well
The loss that hears a brass green bell…

This is scary.
One man capable of this
type of atrocity is totally unthinkable.
This is what psychotropic drugs,
and violent video games,
and other forms of abuse
can do to a human being, driving them
do become dulled to humanity.

I fear for our young people.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Maranatha!

Maureen, thank you.

JL...they say he had symptoms of Aspergers. As the days unfold, and more is known, we will probably not only pray for those he took in the next realm, but for him as well. It is a very sad moment in our history.

"we will probably not only pray for those he took in the next realm, but for him as well."

Indeed, my friend...

Your muse for this poem, I think was William Blake.

I can see Blakes aura around this beautiful, heartfelt poem.

Which was for me, a very good read.

A beauty of form and song to lift
the spirit and gift the soul and
embrace the trembling heart,

a poem is a sigh
a melody of song
a musical lullaby

Loved your story poem with so much expression of sad and hope ~~~~

Instead of worrying about guns we need push for more and better understanding of mental health. Those poor souls have lived lives we would never really understand. jo
